Among kids, Janmashtami stands out as one of the most cherished and joyful festivities. Each Janmashtami, we endeavor to create lasting and special memories, putting forth our utmost efforts to make it truly memorable."

"Children adore Lord Krishna, and engaging in Janmashtami celebrations while participating in various activities helps instill cultural values in them. Here are some fantastic ways to make your Janmashtami celebration truly exceptional."

Janmashatmi

👉  Dress Up Like Krishna

  1. Any color dhoti (Yellow, Red, Orange, White prefer)

  2. Crown with feather on top.

  3. White or Yellow pearls or flowers Ornaments

  4. Flute on one hand

"Begin by adorning your children in dhotis and accessorizing with necklaces, waist belts, and upper arm belts embellished with flowers or pearls. The crowning touch is the peacock feather-adorned crown, a defining feature of Kanha. Place the peacock feather crown on your little ones' heads, apply a kumkum tikka to their foreheads, and place a flute in one of their hands. Your little Bal Krishna is now ready in all his glory!"

👉  Dahi Handi Celebration
The day before Janmashtami, gather a small earthen pot and some paint to decorate it with various creative designs. Encourage your child to paint and embellish it with their unique ideas. Your Handi or Matuki is now prepared! On the day of Janmashtami, fill the Matuki with butter and dry fruits, then hang it at a suitable height so your child can reach and break it with a flute or a decorative stick. You're all set for a festive Dahi Handi celebration, creating a truly special experience for your child.

👉  Pooja Room Decoration
Children are perpetually thrilled to both witness and participate in crafting new things. Why not involve them in adorning the pooja room with flowers, lights, and balloons? You can also enlist their assistance in arranging the jhoola, letting them decorate it with ribbons and flowers as they see fit. Your little ones thoroughly enjoy dressing up Kanha in vibrant attire, which can be complemented with jewelry and a flute. If your child possesses a collection of small animal toys, encourage them to use these to create a charming miniature Gokul village.

👉  Explain Importance of Janmashtami
You can share the significance of the festival and its date with your child. Narrate the enchanting birth story of Lord Krishna. This will foster a profound connection with our rich culture.

👉  Tell the Stories of Krishna

Animated movies have always been a favorite among children. You can easily find animated stories of BalKrishna on YouTube. You can have them watch stories about Krishna, like how he and his friends mischievously stole butter or his brave encounter with Kalia the snake. Kids thoroughly relish these engaging tales.

👉  Visit Krishna Temple with Kids
Plan a visit to a nearby Krishna Temple. Children have a strong affinity for cultural activities and the ambiance within temples.

👉  Aarti thali Decoration
We all gather for prayers and aarti at the time of Krishna's birth in our home. Enlist the assistance of your eager child in decorating the aarti thali.

👉  Make some Makhan(White Butter)  or Missari

Allow your kids to become junior master chefs by preparing some white butter or missari with their assistance. This will greatly excite them for the prayer.

💁  Parenting Tips:
